FundRock Management Company S.A. (‘FundRock’) has been named ManCo Platform of the year at the Global Investor Awards 2017. This is a newly introduced category in the long established awards. FundRock is the very first recipient of this award which is given as a recognition of excellence in fund services by Global Investor Group’s editorial committee.

The Global Investor Awards are now in their 16th year and have over time recognised the best asset managers, securities services firms and specialist providers within the industry.

2017 has been a busy year for FundRock and saw its business expand significantly. Headquartered in Luxembourg, FundRock opened a branch in Dublin in January to accommodate client demand. In Q1 2017, FundRock announced the intention to acquire a UK leading ACD to get closer to its UK client base and to insulate clients from geo-political uncertainty post-Brexit. This deal is due to be sealed in the coming weeks. With a global client base, FundRock could not limit its physical presence to Europe, hence a branch in Singapore is being set-up.

Revel Wood, CEO of FundRock said: ‘We are very pleased to win this prestigious Global Investor Award, particularly as we were not aware that we had been nominated for the award. This is a great achievement for our teams in Luxembourg, Ireland and Singapore who have worked hard to continue to develop our strong reputation for robust client centric fund governance solutions. We appreciate the loyalty and long partnerships with our clients who represent some of the most recognised brands from around the globe.’

During the last months, the teams have worked hard to maintain a high level of services across the multiple locations. In parallel to this geographical expansion, FundRock has heavily invested in systems, RegTech tools and processes and is in a position to provide the required substance paired with solid governance and robust control.
